About Dilkes-Hoffman

The Dilkes-Hoffman Gallery is hidden away in a tranquil bush setting near Margaret River on the Leewin Naturaliste Ridge in the South West corner of Western Australia. It showcases the truly unique work of two artists- Rod Dilkes and Tova Hoffman. Rod and Tova started their business in 1991 and their products now range from functional pottery through to pure art ceramics and glass scuptures. They specialize in a process known as 'reduction lustre'. It's derived from the ancient technique known as 'Persian Lustre' which originated in the Middle East in the 13th Century. Compounds of copper and silver are applied to their pottery and a special kiln firing brings out a metallic surface. This amazing finish can be seen nowhere else in the world. Dilkes-Hoffman also produce a range of stoneware ceramics for cookware and these too are on display in their Margaret River Gallery. Once you visit it's impossible to leave without a piece of ceramics crafted by the talented Dilkes and Hoffman.
